Mr Simon Prowse BSc(hons) MBBch(hons) FRCS(ORL-HNS) PGCME

Mr Prowse is a consultant Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon . He practices both within the NHS and in the private sector.

Following a degree in pharmacology and undergraduate medical training at the Welsh College of Medicine in Cardiff, he has undertaken subspecialist training at centres of excellence across the UK and abroad, including the Yorkshire Hearing Implant Centre and the Causse Clinic in Beziers France. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and a member of the British Society of Otology. Mr Prowse has trained in the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques including Laser and Endoscope assisted middle ear surgery and hearing restoration surgery.

Mr Prowse has been awarded three clinical excellence awards by the local Wye Valley NHS Trust in recognition of his innovation and contributions to enhancing patient care and is the clinical lead for ENT Surgery at the County Hospital in Hereford. He has a special interest in training young surgeons and holds honorary tutor roles at the Universities of Leeds and Birmingham and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in medical education.

Mr Prowse lives in rural Herefordshire and is married with two young children. He enjoys test match special, canoeing, cycling and has an unfortunate weakness for unreliable British Classic cars!
