The Hereford ENT Clinic was established by Mr Simon Prowse, Consultant ENT Surgeon, in 2016 to provide a high quality, private ENT service to the people of Herefordshire, the Borders and Mid-Wales.


From troublesome tonsils, a blocked nose and voice problems to hearing loss, ear infections and disabling vertigo; ENT conditions are common and can be a real source of upset and disability. 

With NHS waiting lists continuing to lengthen, more and more people are opting for the timely, safe, patient focussed care that the Hereford ENT Clinic provides.

Since the Hereford ENT Clinic was established by Mr Simon Prowse, Consultant ENT Surgeon, in 2016 the clinic has seen and treated well over a 1000 patients, providing timely access to expert advice, further investigation and treatment as necessary. 

Mr Prowse has over a decade of experience treating the full range of ENT conditions in both adults and children. Areas of expertise include chronic ear disease, sore throats, voice disorders and nasal polyps.

Private consultations with Mr Prowse are available at the Nuffield Hospital, Venns Lane, Hereford every Monday between 9am and 1pm and on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm or at other times by special request. Private consultations for children can also be arranged.  

If you subsequently require any further investigations or surgical treatment these can be arranged promptly with most patients completing treatment within 4-6 weeks. Many other patients opt for a self-pay initial consultation before transferring back to the NHS if surgical intervention is necessary.

Mr Prowse also runs a busy NHS clinic every Tuesday and Friday at the County Hospital in Hereford and a specialist paediatric clinic at the Ross Road Child Development Centre on the 1st and 3rd Friday mornings of the month. Referrals to these clinics can be made via your GP or by special referral from the local NHS audiology service. Please  note that for these clinics you will be seen by either Mr Prowse or one of his team.
